MONTESSORI

The Montessori Theory was developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori.  The emphasis is on independence, the child’s natural development, and freedom to explore and learn.
Here at New Beginnings, we are not strictly Montessori, but incorporate Montessori-influenced materials and learning activities into our daily routine. By structuring the classroom so the children can work independently, self correct and make their choices, the children are given the opportunity to become more well rounded individuals.  Our teachers are there to help facilitate the children while encouraging them to learn for their own satisfaction. These life skills are essential to everyone and we want to help our students master them early on. We also believe that with a more hands on approach, children retain more of the information being presented to them.
