PRE-KINDERGARTEN

Age 4 Years

Children expand further on what they have learned in Pre-school.  Instruction is guided by the New York State Learning Standards with STEAM principles.

Children experience a more advanced curriculum using traditional teaching methods supplemented with various methods of intuitive learning with technologies such as: Apple iPads, Smart Boards, and digital presentations.

At this level, we not only focus on academics, but also on helping children grow emotionally, socially and physically.  Early on in the school year students review letters and numbers then advance onto sight words and more complex aspects of literacy development and handwriting.

Most students develop foundational reading and math skills that are in compliance with and exceed the expectations of NYS Standards upon completing our Pre-K in June.

Whether moving on to a new school or remaining at New Beginnings, your children will be well prepared for Kindergarten next year.
